NEWS

Exploring Glass
Recent sculptural adventures have taken me into the world of Glass where within I see ice sparkling wild colours representing environmental eruptions and organic change.

I recently visited Bohemia in the Czech Republic where glass work is a spectacular art form and had the privilege of meeting a few established Artists which led to a morning spent in the studio with Jiri Pacinek. Here I discussed ideas for my latest work and, as you can see from the photos, couldn't resist attempting to create a piece there and then under his guidance! This has enthused me even further and my latest works include this fascinating material. I am still intrigued by Chihuly and will experiment with the fire of colours found in Mexico and Native American work.

For a week in June 2009, I will be sculpting in the wilds of the Serengeti as a student to internationally known wildlife Sculptor Mark Coreth. During this time I hope to enhance my work with forms and movement using nature itself as the model.

Please look out for my new work this summer.
